Harnessing the power of the brain

When practising Transcendental Meditation the whole brain functions in an orderly, coherent way which has many advantages for daily life and peak mental performance. High levels of EEG orderliness or ‘whole brain functioning’ leads to:

Developing Intelligence

Students who regularly practised the Transcendental Meditation programme had a significantly increased IQ over a 2 year period, compared to control students. These students were over the age of 18, and an increase in IQ was therefore theoretically impossible. The control group indeed did not show an increase.

The New Zealand Curriculum promotes values to be ‘encouraged, modeled and explored’.  When the majority of students in a school are practising TM, the purpose of this goal is achieved spontaneously. The whole school atmosphere becomes increasingly harmonious, calm, focused and positive, creating an effective atmosphere for learning, growing and developing positive social connections.
