Meet the Team

Linda Sinden

I’ve been a teacher of TM since 1990 and love teaching this amazing technique. Backed by a huge amount of research it is satisfying to see how stress, ill health, fatigue and unhappiness reduce when a person learns TM. Previously trained in education, I am a grandmother of 3 and sister of 9 siblings, many of whom have learnt TM. I enjoy singing, walking at the beach, reading and good conversation. TM is the technique I have learnt that has made the biggest difference in my life and I consider it a privilege to pass it on to others. Watching the transformations that occur when one learns TM and its impact in the workplace is very rewarding.

My passions in life are my family and friends, gardening, the arts, cooking, exploring, getting out into nature, and teaching TM. My experience in Nursing and the Real Estate Industry have drawn my attention to the roles stress, fatigue and unhappiness play in health and wellbeing. Having learnt TM in the 1980s, and gained so much benefit from it, I decided to do the teacher training, and have taught it since 1990. To be able to teach such an easy and effortless technique, backed by a huge amount of research, that addresses the root cause of so many of life’s issues, is incredibly satisfying.

I have been a teacher of Transcendental Meditation since 1998, and based in Tauranga I cover the Bay of Plenty. When I am not teaching Transcendental Meditation, I work in the health sector  as a radiographer. The research is extensive on the benefits of practising Transcendental Meditation and it is a privilege to be able to pass on this effortless, easy to do technique, which can reduce stress, bring clarity, better health and more enjoyment in life along with many other benefits. I enjoy playing golf, gardening, tramping and long walks along the great beaches we have in the Bay and catching up with family and friends.

I am a certified TM teacher practising for 40 years. My passion is to support projects opening the door for TM to be brought into NZ high schools. It’s incredibly important to give young women a holistic life-long tool to handle all aspects of life and to enjoy being her own best self. This natural, simple, effortless evidence-based technique empowers professional women, creative women, sportswomen, students, mothers and their families to live life free from stress and strain and enjoy greater happiness and well-being.

Working on projects around women’s health and education in the Netherlands and USA for 20 years with the international organisation, I have a profound appreciation for the significant value that TM brings to create peace, harmony and fulfilment in day-to-day life, no matter what one’s background, education, religion, age or lifestyle.

I enjoy time with family and community, music, arts & theatre. I’m a keen organic gardener, participating in our local community organic garden whenever the Wellington weather cooperates!

I completed my TM Teacher Training in the mid 1970’s, and I have loved teaching this technique ever since. It’s so fulfilling to see the results each person enjoys after learning – decreased stress, and increased calmness, happiness and energy, better sleep etc. It’s effortless, yet profound, and I feel deeply grateful to have a method to help women to better their lives and thereby the lives of those around them.
