Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, cardiologist, and Director of Women’s Heart Health at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York City, is national spokesperson for “Go Red for Women” through the American Heart Association. In this video, Dr. Steinbaum notes that the American Heart Association stated in 2013 that Transcendental Meditation was the only form of stress management and meditation to reduce blood pressure. She said, “It is the most efficacious way for us to treat one of the major risks of heart disease, which is stress.”
